Daniel Grant Porter, Jr., age 43, of Eldon, died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at his home. He was born in Tuscumbia on September 13, 1965, a son of Daniel Grant Porter, Sr. and Barbara (Evans) Porter. On August 4, 2004, in Tuscumbia, he was married to Laura Trudeau, who survives at the home.

Daniel was a good man who would do anything for anybody and who loved his family dearly.

Others who survive him include: four children, Danielle Ede and husband John of Eldon, Christina Gier and husband Jon of Eldon, Josh Daniel Grant Porter and Cole Alan Porter, both of the home; six grandchildren, Chamieka Porter, Alexis Ede, Halie, Jon, Ethan and Anna Bell Gier; his mother, Barbara Porter of Eldon; one brother, Robert Lee Porter of Gravois Mills; one sister, Deanna McFatridge and husband Hoss of Eldon and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

His father and step-father preceded him in death.

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 8, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Bro. Mark Kessler will officiate.
