Danny Lee Gardner, age 61, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at his home. He was born in Waynesville on March 9, 1951, son of Harold Herbert and Wilma Lee (Shelton) Gardner. On June 11, 1971, in Brumley, Danny married Sharon Kay DeGraffenreid, who survives at the home.

Danny enjoyed fishing and hunting in his spare time. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal Fan and was a Khourey League coach. Danny was a member of Hickory Point Church near Iberia.

He is also survived by two sons, Christopher Lee Gardner and wife Kim and David Lloyd Gardner and wife Heather both of Iberia; his mother, Wilma Lee Gardner of Iberia; eight grandchildren, Levi James Gardner, Ethan Lee Gardner, Allyson Jane Gardner, Justice David Lloyd Gardner, Taylor Rhoda Marie Gardner, Edward Connor Gardner, Alexis Kay Ann Gardner, and Joseph Noah Gardner all of Iberia; and two sisters, Patricia Ann Hill and husband Bobby and Kimberly Sue Duncan and husband Jeff both of Iberia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Herbert Gardner.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 6, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Mac McCully will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 5, at the funeral home.
