Danny Irwin, age 72, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at his home surrounded by family. He was born in Iberia, on October 24, 1946, son of the late Clate and Ruby (Long) Irwin. On October 31, 1970, in Iberia, Danny married Carolyn Sue Humphrey, who survives at their home.

Danny worked for 41 years at Tree Top Village in Osage Beach. He was recently employed at Iberia R-V in the janitorial staff and being around the children and staff brought so much joy to his life. Danny enjoyed puzzles and had a passion for fishing, so much so that his CB name was "Catfish". He was a member of Concord Christian Church in Hawkeye.

In addition to his loving wife, Sue, he is also survived by one daughter, Anna Rowden and husband George of Iberia; two grandchildren, Cristian Kite and husband Richard and Chase Rowden; four great-grandchildren, Lucas, Gracelyn, Payton, and Nathan; brother, Kenneth Irwin; sister-in-law, Linda Irwin; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Larry Dale Irwin.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 1 p.m., on Friday, July 19, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Lee Todd officiating. A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Crocker Cemetery.
