Daphany Rose Uzunov, age 80, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2010, at her daughters home in Iberia. She was born in British Columbia, Canada, on February 10, 1930, daughter of the late Harry and Fanny Kaufman. On September 24, 1962, in South Tacoma, Washington, Daphany married Petar Georgive Uzunov, who preceded her in death on August 1, 2005.

Daphany and her husband Petar moved to the United States in 1964. They resided in San Diego, California, where she raised her family and worked as a bookkeeper until she retired. In 1990 Daphany and Petar moved to Iberia, where they lived out the rest of their years. Daphany was a friend to many and was loved by all, she will be dearly missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Allison Hedgpeth of Iberia and Susan Uzunov of Lake Ozark; one son, Peter Uzunov and wife Valerie of Camano, Washington; six grandchildren, Jesse Hedgpeth and wife Brittani of Iberia, Raymond Gorgiv, Ramilio Harold Uzunov, Reina Isabella Uzunov of Camano, Washington, and claimed as her own, Kenzie Humphrey of Iberia and Danny Humphrey of Iberia; two great-granddaughters, Elexis Hedgpeth and Cali Hedgpeth; and two sisters, Hazel Price and husband Ted and Shirley Foord and husband Ian.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday, December 31, 2010, at Allison Hedgpeth's home in Iberia. Her body was cremated under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
