Darin Dean Helton, age 54, of Ulman, passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at his home. He was born in Tuscumbia on August 21, 1962, son of Larry Dean Helton and Wanda Lou (Flaugher) Cheever. On October 20, 1990, in Ulman, Darin married Bobbie Lavern Martinez, who survives at the home.

Darin was a member of the Ulman Christian Church.

In addition to his wife, Bobbie Helton, he is also survived by three children, Samantha Jo Helton, Casey Dean Helton, and Nicole Jo Helton all of Ulman; two grandchildren, Jasmine Peters and Justin Robinett; his parents, Larry Helton and Wanda Cheever; two sisters, Dawn Blalock and husband Randy of Eldon and Deitra Brouk and husband Bill of Ulman; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m., with a memorial service immediately following at 2 p.m., on Friday, September 23, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Darin Helton Memorial Fund. Memorial contributions will go toward Darin's children.
