Dave Lenox, age 64, of Eldon formerly of Brumley, passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 at his home. He was born in St. Louis on January 12, 1946, son of the late Maurice and Lucy Ama Delta (Jackson) Lenox. On January 12, 1967, in Iberia, Dave married Gloria June Colvin, who survives at the home.
Dave drove a dump truck around the Lake area for various companies and also worked at the quarry in Holts Summit. He was a member of the Eldon Church of Christ.
He is also survived by two sons, Chris Lenox and wife Debra of Eldon and Shannon Lenox and wife Heather of Cedarburg, Wisconsin; one grandson, Bryan Lenox and wife Heather of Eldon; one granddaughter, Amber Lenox of Eldon; two brothers, Bill Lenox and Bobby Lenox; and five sisters, Betty Abernathy, Shirley Batterson, Joann Barr, Karen Elkin, and Regina Barnes.
He was also preceded in death by one sister, Janet Castiglia and an infant brother and sister.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Monday, June 28, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Brandon Stephens will officiate. Interment with military honors under the direction of the Iberia VFW Post 6167 and American Legion Post 105 will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the David Lenox Memorial Fund.
