David W. Rodden, age 40, of Crocker, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013, in Pulaski County. He was born in Tuscumbia on September 25, 1972, son of Henry and Kathy (Davis) Rodden.
David was an avid Nascar fan and enjoyed truck pulling and hunting. He was employed at Newcomb Hardware in Crocker. David was a member of Crocker First Baptist Church.
He is survived by two children, Megan Rodden and Gracie Rodden both of Crocker; two stepchildren, Joshua Ransome of Crocker and Cali Ransome of Crocker; his parents, Henry Mack and Kathy Rodden of Brumley; two brothers, Richard Rodden and Johnny Rodden; and fiancee, Sarah Ransome.
He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, John and Verna Davis and paternal grandparents, Porter and Zella Rodden.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with a memorial service immediately following at noon, on Friday, August 30, 2013, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Ralph Byrd will officiate. A private graveside service will be held at a later date in Rodden Cemetery near Brumley.
