Debbie A. (Moody) Hays, age 66, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Wiesbaden, Germany, on March 6, 1956, daughter of the late Willie Joe and Clara Esther (Peck) Moody-Albin.

Debbie retired from the Eldon Police Department after 24 years of dedicated service.  She cherished animals, rescuing many over the years and gave them a loving home.

She is survived by her partner, Jane Breen; three sisters, Wendy (Eugene) Fairfax, Kathy (Lloyd) Meyer, and Mary (Steve) Franken; brother, James (Allison) Moody; sister-in-law, Sigrid Moody; uncle, Vernon (Martha) Peck; aunt, Alberta Peck; five dogs and ten cats; and numerous family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Steve Moody.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
