Deborah Ann Vernon, age 71, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia. She was born in Miller County on January 3, 1952, daughter of the late Eddie and Ruth Lucille (Witt) Rodden. On November 26, 1983, Deborah was united in marriage to Richard Vernon, who preceded her in death in 2011.

Debbie enjoyed collecting light houses and cherished the company of her family and friends. She was an active and faithful member of Glover Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Smith and husband Andy; grandson, Oliver Smith; brother, David Rodden; sister-in-law, Karen Stith; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at 12 (noon), on Saturday, May 20, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home with Bro. Rick Russell officiating. Interment will be held in Rodden Family Cemetery near Brumley.
