Debra M. Palmer, age 45, of Eldon, passed away Friday, January 6, 2012, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Illinois on February 5, 1966, daughter of Jim Dettlaff and Barbara St. Pierre.
Debra worked as a bus driver for Osage Public Schools. She was a single parent of two children and was a wonderful and loving mother. Debra attended Iberia First Assembly of God.
She is survived by one son, Kevin Palmer and wife Sarah of Iberia; one daughter, Jamie Kilbourn of Eldon; one granddaughter, Taylor Palmer of Iberia; her mother, Barbara St. Pierre of Eldon; her father, Jim Dettlaff of Eldon; one brother, James Dettlaff of Iberia; and one sister, Tina Hendricks of Texas.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 (noon), with services immediately following at noon, on Monday, January 9, 2012, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Jeff Higbie will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Debra Palmer Memorial Fund.
