Debra Jane "Debbie" Plemmons, age 57, of Iberia, died Saturday, January 13, 2007, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born in Crocker on December 6, 1949, daughter of Vasca Bird and Dorothy Edna (Wilson) Humphrey. On June 29, 2002, in Brumley, she was married to Gary Wayne Plemmons, who survives at the home.
She worked as an EMT for the Miller County Ambulance for 23 years. She was a member of Brays Advent Christian Church near Iberia and the Iberia American Legion Post 105.
Other survivors include her mother, Edna Humphrey of Iberia; three stepdaughters, Jody Vance and husband, Sam of Iberia, Angie Dusenberry and husband, Leon of Eldon, Gari Luttrell and husband, Scott of Iberia; one stepson, Ronnie Plemmons and wife, Mindy of Marshfield; three sisters, Birdene Cochran and husband, Dave of Brumley, Barbara Harrison of Iberia, and Vanessa Duckworth of Versailles; one brother, Steven Humphrey and wife, Tammy of Monett; eight step grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father; a son, Dallis Dean Blankenship Jr. in 1980; a daughter, Valerie Kay Blankenship in 2002; and a sister, Linda Humphrey-Cheatum in 2006.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 17, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Gene Edwards will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
