Dennis Ray Luttrell, age 71, of Brumley, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. He was born in Maries County on October 3, 1945, son of the late Tom Johnson and Leona McDowell. On February 13, 1983, at the Brumley Baptist Church, Dennis married Carolyn Fay Warren, who survives at the home.

Dennis loved to raise and care for chickens. He enjoyed spending time with his family especially when his grandchildren, Blake, Amanda, and Dustin would come to visit. He was a member of the Brumley Baptist Church.

In addition to this loving wife, Carolyn Luttrell of Brumley, he is also survived by one son, Eddie Luttrell and wife Brenda of Lebanon; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers, John McDowell, Ronnie McDowell, and Bobby McDowell; two sisters, Donna Barnes and Linda Plemmons; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona McDowell; one daughter, Donna Crooker; two sons, Randy Crall and Danny Luttrell; and three brothers, Billy Luttrell, Gary McDowell, and David McDowell.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, at the Brumley Baptist Church with Bro. Warren Mitchell officiating. Final inurnment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
