Obituary
Dennis R. McVay, age 68, of Rocky Mount, died Friday, January 2, 2009, at Carnegie Village in Belton, Missouri. He was born in Kansas City, Missouri on October 15, 1940, a son of the late Clarence and Dorothy (Glasner) McVay. On August 26, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri, he was married to Donna Wolverton, who survives at the home.
Dennis was a US Army veteran attached to the 82nd Airborne.
Others who survive him include: two children, Susan Glorioso and husband Dean and Dan McVay and wife Amy all of Lee's Summit; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Anna Glorioso and Ryan and Katy McVay and one sister, Dixie Nichols.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 6, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Tim McMulin will officiate. Military honors provided by the Miller County VFW Post 2442 will be held at the funeral home immediately following the memorial service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Southerncare Hospice or American Cancer Society.
