Dennis Wayne Slawson, 67, of Iberia, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Iberia on June 26, 1942, son of the late Glen T. and Opal Anne (Stone) Slawson. On August 17, 1963, in Crocker, Dennis was united in marriage to Karen Porter, who survives at the home.
He is also survived by one daughter, Angela Ciafullo and husband Craig of Kansas City; one son, Charles "Chip" Slawson and wife Anne of Iberia; and three grandchildren, Tyler Slawson of Iberia, Kaylie Slawson of Iberia; and Isabella Ciafullo of Kansas City.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Leon Slawson in 1960.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia, with a graveside service immediately following in Madden Cemetery near Iberia. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Madden Cemetery.
