Dennis Joseph Struemph, age 55, of Humboldt, TN, formerly of Athens, GA and St. Thomas, MO, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his home in Humboldt, TN, after a courageous battle against kidney cancer. Dennis was born, April 12th, 1958, in St. Elizabeth, MO, to the late Fredrick Struemph and Mary Ann Struemph Doerhoff.

Dennis was raised in St. Elizabeth, MO and graduated from University of Missouri-Rolla. He was employed by ABB for 27 years, most recently in Alamo, TN, as Operations Manager. He holds four U.S. patents. Dennis was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Humboldt, TN.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Washington Struemph of Humboldt, TN; his daughter Abigail Struemph of Nashville, TN, his son, Matthew Struemph of Kingdom City, MO; his mother Mary Ann and step father Alfred Doerhoff of St. Elizabeth, MO; his sister Joann (Ken) Young of Makanda, IL, his brother Lewis (Ronnie) Struemph of Jackson, TN, his brother James (Pat) Struemph of St. Elizabeth, MO, his brother Frank (Carol) Struemph of New Melle, MO, his brother Stanley (Theresa) Struemph of St. Elizabeth, MO, and his brother Paul (Karen) Struemph of St. Thomas, MO; thirteen nieces, three nephews, two great nieces, and three great nephews.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 pm, with a prayer service at 7 pm, on Monday, December 9, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth, MO. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am, on Tuesday, December 10, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery in St. Thomas.

Visitation was also held from 3-7 pm on Friday, December 6, at Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home in Humboldt.
