Denny Cooper, age 73, of Brumley, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2017, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. He was born in Brumley on March 17, 1943, son of the late Herman and Belvia (Hendricks) Cooper. On August 2, 1963, in Iberia, Denny married Karen Diane Wall, who survives at the home.
Denny was employed at the MFA soybean plant in Mexico, MO for 12 years. He later worked as a welder for Galva Foam Docks in Camdenton for 27 years.
In his younger years, Denny enjoyed racing cars and motorcycles. He also enjoyed woodworking, camping, fishing and working cattle. Denny loved life and lived every day to the fullest. His greatest love in life, was his family.
In addition to his loving wife, Diane Cooper, he is also survived by two sons, Dennis Cooper Jr. and wife Tammy of Brumley and William Douglas Cooper of Brumley; two grandchildren, Elizabeth Cooper and Dillon Cooper; and one brother, William Walker Cooper and wife Sharon of Washington.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Karen Denise Cooper and one brother, Herbert Thomas Cooper.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 1, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ralph Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in Madden Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, February 28, at the funeral home.
