Donald C. Lawson, age 72, of Iberia, died Thursday, September 27, 2007, at his home. He was born in Iberia on July 24, 1935, a son of the late William Clarence and Myrtle Marie (Branson) Lawson. On July 5, 1955, in Iberia, he was married to Janis Gail Livingston, who survives at the home.
Don was a graduate of Linn Tech and was later employed at McDonald Douglas working on fighter jets. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed photography.
Others who survive him include: two sons, Donald James Lawson of Republic and Rick Lawson of Springfield; one daughter, Jeanne Amos of Iberia; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; three brothers, Myrel Lawson of Brumley, Charles Lawson of Florissant and Bill Lawson of O'Fallon; one sister, Betty Prater of Washington and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Two sisters, Virginia Ruth Lawson and Deborah Jane Lawson, also preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, October 1, with services immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Glen Golden will officiate.
