Donna Boxx-Nield, age 61, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017, at her home. She was born in St. Louis, on July 23, 1955, daughter of Donald "Donny" and Jennie (Allen) Boxx. On September 21, 1994, in Tuscumbia, Donna married Thomas Currie Nield, who survives at the home.

Donna was a cosmetologist for many years in Tennessee. She later moved to Salem where she owned and operated her own business, Mane Event. Donna moved to Tuscumbia in 1989 and operated the farm with her husband, Tom. While Tom was working overseas Donna operated the ranch in his leave.

Donna was a loving matriarch for her family and was her husband's rock in this world and the love of his life. Donna will be dearly missed by those who were blessed to be her family and friends.

In addition to her husband, Tom Nield, she is also survived by her daughter, Tera Shaw and husband Stephen of Climax Springs; her mother, Jennie Boxx of Salem; two step-sons, Thomas Cabiles Nield and wife Cheryl of Jefferson City and Rodney Alfredo Nield and wife Robin of Seattle, Washington; two grandchildren, Kyle and Kasey Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Desirea Nelson and Alex Nelson; four step-grandchildren, Thomas Nield, Andrew Nield, Hunter Nield, and Alexis Nield; two sisters, Diana and Debbie; and one brother, David Boxx.

She was preceded in death by one son, T.J. Anderson; her father, Donny Boxx, and two brothers, Donny Ray Boxx and Doyle Boxx.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Saturday, March 4, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Roy Bryant will officiate.
