IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Jo
Humphrey
February 19, 1955 – April 3, 2025
Donna Jo Humphrey, age 70, of Vienna, passed away April 3, 2025, peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on February 19, 1955, the middle child of the late Doris Jean & Von (Don) Conner. On June 11, 1977, Donna was united in marriage to James R. Humphrey in Meta, MO. To this loving union of nearly 48 years, four children were born.
Donna was the definition of a hard worker, she devoted 20+ years of her life to Fasco Industries in Eldon, MO. After retirement, she stayed busy caring for her beloved grandchildren, baking birthday and wedding cakes for many people in the community and was always cooking a delicious meal for anyone who stopped by. No one ever left Donna's home with an empty stomach, something she will always be remembered for. If she wasn't in the kitchen, you could likely find her in her big, beautiful yard planting flowers. She had an amazingly nurturing spirit and could make anything grow! Some of her favorite times were going on flower and mulch runs every spring with her dear friend, Nancy Helton.
Those left to mourn Donna's passing include her devoted, and loving husband James R. "Jim" Humphrey of the home; her four children, Melissa Dawn Jones & husband Justin of Windsor, MO. James Aaron Humphrey & wife Michelle of Wardsville, MO. Ashley Jean Humphrey of Vienna and Jared Adam Humphrey & wife Sarah of Vienna, MO.; 10 grandchildren; James Cassidy, Makenzie Lynn, James Logan, Chase Walter, Jay Matthew, Ace Emmett, Jett Lewis, Tye Evelyn, Everett Joseph & Mikaela Lauren; as well as a host of family, friends, and her faithful canine companions who were by her side through the end, Angel & Dorie.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Doris Jean and Von (Don) Conner, brother Danny Von Conner and her in-laws, James Walter (J.W.) and Evelyn Marie Humphrey.
Donna will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved her, especially her grandkids. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She cherished every second spent with them whether it was at the barn with the boys, feeding cattle, or in the kitchen teaching the girls how to bake. Nothing ever seemed to be an inconvenience when it came to them and the word NO was rarely spoken by Granny. She was simply the best!
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, April 7, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 8, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Kevin Rowden officiating. Interment will be held in Crismon Cemetery near her home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Red Slipper Warrior Project or Perpetual Care of Crismon Cemetery.
