Obituary

Donna Vaughan, age 88, of Iberia, passed away on Sunday, July 10, 2016, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Maries County on September 29, 1927, daughter of the late John and Luella Belle (Lawson) Renfrow. On September 6, 1947, in Dixon, Donna married Arthur Wayne Vaughan, who survives at the home.

In addition to her loving husband of 68 years, Wayne Vaughan, she is also survived by one daughter, Barbara Witt and husband Allen of Iberia; two grandsons, John Witt and wife Lauri of Overland Park, Kansas and Nathan Witt and wife Kelly of Seminole, Florida; two great-grandsons, Alex Witt and Carter Witt; one great-granddaughter, Allie Witt; one sister, Bea Lee of St. Peters; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by one son, Terry Vaughan; two sisters, Lilly Randolph and Elizabeth Lee; and three brothers, Bob Renfrow, Earl Renfrow, and Arthur Renfrow.

Donna was a 1946 graduate of Vienna High School. Following graduation, she worked at Bank of Iberia for 35 years. After retiring from the bank Donna volunteered at the Miller County Nursing Home in Tuscumbia for 13 years.

Donna was a faithful member of Iberia United Methodist Church since 1960.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 12 (noon), with funeral services immediately following at 12 (noon) on Wednesday, July 13, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Paul Prater will officiate. Interment will be in Dick Lawson Cemetery near Iberia.
