Donnie L. Hillen, age 67, of Eldon, died Monday, August 25, 2008, at his home. He was born in St. Louis on January 13, 1941. On April 7, 2002, at the Old Time Gospel Church in Eldon, he was married to Alice Mount, who survives at the home.

Others who survive him include: four brothers, Norbert Risse of Meta, Larry Risse of Meta, Roger Risse of Eldon and Charlie Risse of New Haven; two sisters, Charlene Veltrop of Toas and Irene Hartman of Hartsburg; three step-children, Ellen Hader and Jackie Woolley both of Eldon and Evelyn McVicker of Jefferson City; eight step-grandchildren and one goddaughter, Mary Vedenhoupt of Eugene.

His parents and two step-sons, Bill and George Templeton, preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, August 26th with a memorial service immediately following at 7:00 p.m. at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Bro. Frank McGuire will officiate. Interment will be held at a later date in Rocky Mount Union Cemetery.
