Donnie Firl Luttrell, age 82, of Brumley, passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at his home. He was born in Brumley on September 11, 1936, son of the late Hamen and Zilphia (Rhinehart) Luttrell. On September 22, 1956, in Hawkeye, Donnie married Billie Mae DeVore, who preceded him in death on June 7, 2007.

Donnie was baptized at an early age and attended Mt. Union Church.

He is survived by two daughters, Robin Renee Whittle (Rick) and Rita Kay (Luttrell) Howser both of Brumley; seven grandchildren, Robbie Whittle (Kim), Nichole Lawson (Jason), Crystal Ash (Darin), Gloria Helton (Tyson), Lacie Whittle (Michael McComb), Adam Howser (Holly Graap), and Jessica Havens (Matt); 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Terry and Mike; three sisters, Sharon, Betty, and Sally; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Donnie and his wife Billie raised Gary Wayne Whittle, Donny Whittle, Connie Wickham, and Christy Whittle upon the death of their parents.

In addition to his parents and loving wife, Billie, he was also preceded in death by seven brothers, Ovid, Okie, Dean, Clint, Lynn, Ronnie, and Jackie; and one sister, Bonnie.

Visitation will be held from 12 (noon) to 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 14, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Final inurnment will be held in Mt. Union Cemetery next to his wife, Billie Mae Luttrell.
