Dorcas L. Keeth, age 95, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Miller County Care Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Iberia on September 6, 1913, daughter of the late Guy Franklin and Betsy (Duncan) Wall. On June 17, 1933, Dorcus married John A. Oertli, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1951. On August 30, 1958, near Iberia, she married Laymon Keeth, who preceded her in death on May 21, 1994.

Dorcas was a member of the VFW and American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She worked for Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood for 30 years. Dorcas was also a member of the First Christian Church in Iberia.

She is survived by her daughter, June Burks and husband Jim of Iberia; two granddaughters, Gay Gillian and husband Billy and Ginger Hensley and husband Bill all of Iberia; five great-grandchildren, Bridgett Baker of Iberia, Brandy Smith of Crocker, Brooke Bridgeman of St. Robert, Evan Hensley of Iberia, and Matt Hensley of Iberia; eleven great-great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Elline Collins, Estal Wall, Gene Wall, Alice Wyrick, and Wilma Goodson.

She was also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 17, 2009, with services immediately following at 2 p.m., at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
