Doris Mae Luttrell, 81, of Ramona, Oklahoma, formerly of Brumley, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2010, at her home. She was born in Avant, Oklahoma, on January 24, 1928, daughter of the late Harvey Nicholas and Mary Jane (Witt) Long. On August 8, 1952, in Bentonville, Arkansas, Doris married Berlyn Luttrell, who preceded her in death on December 19, 1996.
Doris moved to Missouri with her husband, Berlyn, in 1963, which is where they raised their family, and she worked as a waitress and a homemaker. After her husband's death, she moved to Ramona, Oklahoma in 1997, and lived there until her passing. Doris was a member of the Honey Springs Baptist Church in Brumley.
She is survived by one son, Denny Luttrell of Eldon; two daughters, Cherlynn Postrach and Mary Daughtery both of Ramona, Oklahoma; one brother, Don Long of Columbia; 10 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2010, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Dennis Nichols will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27, at the funeral home.
