Dorothy Edna Humphrey, age 98, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025.  She was born in Iberia on April 29, 1926, daughter of the late Leonard and Frankie Dean (Dake) Wilson.  On July 10, 1943, Dorothy was united in marriage to Vasca Bird "Vascie" Humphrey, who preceded her in death on May 28, 2001.

Dorothy was a woman of many talents and passions. She had a love for Word Find and enjoyed spending her time gardening, creating beautiful quilts, and crocheting intricate doll dresses, having crafted over 100 of them with care and dedication.

She cherished the time spent with her family, finding immense joy in their gatherings and celebrations. Dorothy also found solace and joy in reading the Bible, drawing strength and inspiration from its verses throughout her life. She was a devoted member of Brays Advent Christian Church.

She is survived by one son, Steve Humphrey and wife Tammy; daughter, Vanessa Duckworth; sister, Margaret Cochran; 16 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 35 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by four daughters, Loretta Cochran, Barbara "Barbie" Harrison, Debra "Debbie" Blankenship, and Linda Cheatum; seven brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, March 29, at Brays Advent Christian Church in Iberia.  Interment will be held in Union Cemetery in Iberia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Brays Advent Christian Church or Union Cemetery.
