Doyle Eugene Hogue Sr., age 87, of Iberia, passed away on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Miller County on March 31, 1939, son of the late Fred and Jennie (Irwin) Hogue. On August 26, 1961, in Tuscumbia, Doyle was united in marriage to Leona Mae Machon, who survives.

Doyle devoted numerous years to his work as a chef at various restaurants in the Lake area. He loved exploring his family history, tracing the roots and connections that were part of his family's story. He also enjoyed fishing and hunting and the time it allowed him to spend outdoors. Thanksgiving held a special place in his heart as he prepared dinner for his loved ones. Before his passing, Doyle committed his life to the Lord and was baptized in Christ by his nephew Steve Denton.

He is survived by his wife, Leona Hogue; children, Doyle (Susan) Hogue, Jr., Pat (Bill Graves) Hogue, Lynn Farrow, Dennis Hogue, Diana Luttrell, Jack (Amanda) Hogue, Bonnie (Tom) Curnutt, Shannon (Virginia) Long, and Travis (Kylee) Long; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Wayne “Boob” Hogue; sister, Erma Denton; two sons-in-law, John Farrow and Steve Luttrell; one grandson, Kenny Doyle; and James Pearce.

A private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Jim Matt Lawson Cemetery.
