Obituary

Doyle Lynn Veasman, age 77, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, September 26, 2022, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia.  He was born in Pulaski County on March 30, 1945, son of the late Walter "Boone" and Zella Gertrude "Gertie" (Thompson) Veasman.  On September 28, 1965, in Maries County, Doyle was united in marriage to Lemoine Copeland.

Doyle possessed a strong work ethic, working most of his life as a heavy equipment operator.  Throughout his career Doyle built countless construction projects and houses and was instrumental in the development of a variety of business buildings in the surrounding area, including the original Tan-Tara Resort at Lake Ozark.  Doyle enjoyed working on cars, attending truck and tractor pulls, and spending time outdoors cutting wood.  Doyle attended Mason Ridge Church.

He is survived by his son, Brian Veasman and wife Marisa; seven grandchildren, Michael Veasman, Taylor Smith, Allie Burton, Noah Veasman, Reaghan Veasman, Matthew Pemberton, and Nathan Pemberton; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Pemberton; former spouse, Lemoine Lawson; two brothers, Elis Veasman and John Veasman; and two sisters, Shirley Gaddy and Connie Lawson.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Ernie Miller officiating.  Interment will be held in Iberia Cemetery.
