Eddie Rodden, of Brumley, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016, the morning of his 92nd birthday, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. He was born in Brumley on January 17, 1924, son of the late Isaac and Mary (Sons) Rodden. On December 24, 1943, in Waynesville, Eddie married Ruth Lucille Witt, who preceded him in death on February 18, 2014.

Eddie was a member of Rodden Church of Christ near Brumley.

He is survived by one daughter, Debbie Vernon; one son, David Rodden; two grandchildren, Jackie Rodden and Barbara Smith; two great-grandchildren, Ashley Rodden and Taylor Rodden; two great-great-grandchildren, Dixie McCubbin and Ryder Wagoner; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Ruth, he was also preceded in death by on granddaughter, Dana Rodden; five sisters, and seven brothers.

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m., with services immediately following at 3 p.m., on Wednesday, January 20, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Charles Ash will officiate. Interment will be in Rodden Family Cemetery near Brumley.

Memorial contributions are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
