Edward Lee Wheat, age 71, of Eldon, died Friday, September 23, 2005, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born in Jefferson City on May 24, 1934, a son of Arthur and Mary (Wagner) Wheat.
He lived in Newport, California, for over 20 years before returning to the mid-Missouri area. He loved Country and Western music.
Survivors include: 1 brother, James Leon Wheat and wife Janet of St. Elizabeth; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents; two brothers, Louis and Charles Wheat; and two sisters, Dorothy Bryan and Anna Marie Dusheke, preceded him in death.
Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 27, at Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon. Services will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jason McNaughten officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Hill Cemetery.
