Elizabeth Mary (Engelmeyer) Schaffer Watson, age 92, of Clarksville, TN passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at her home. She was born November 5, 1931, in St. Anthony, MO to the late Henry Engelmeyer and Catherine Holtmeyer.

In her free time, Elizabeth enjoyed simply being out in nature. She loved gardening, fishing, and camping. On August 31, 1948, Elizabeth married the late Edmond Schaffer, and after his death she eventually went on to marry the late James Watson on December 31, 1980.

Survivors include her children, Emma Black, Joanna Surface, Bertha Shilling, Debra Davis, Catherine Hicks, and Bernard Schaffer, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth is preceded in death by her first husband, Edmond Schaffer; second husband, James Watson; sons, Robert Schaffer and Steven Schaffer; daughters, Elizabeth Ann Kloeppel and Anna Schaffer; her brothers and sisters, and sons-in-law, Donald Surface, Ron Black, Arthur Shilling Sr., John Thomas Davis Jr., and Melvin Hicks.

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with Mass of Christian Burial held at 11 a.m., on Friday, June 7, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church with Fr. Christopher Aubuchon officiating. Inurnment will be held at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the St. Anthony Cemetery.
