Ellen Horton, age 80, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2019, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Miller County on March 29, 1939, daughter of the late Arthur and Lena Mae (Ash) Phillips. On July 9, 1961, in Tuscumbia, Ellen married Frank Horton, who preceded her in death on April 7, 2009.

She was a member of the Tuscumbia Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Dale Horton and Charlie Horton and wife Julie both of Tuscumbia; two grandsons, Cody Horton (Jennifer) and Ethan Horton both of Tuscumbia; and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ellen was also preceded in death by one grandson, Todd Frank Horton; brother Leroy Phillips and sister, Bonnie Turner.

A private burial will be held at Gott Cemetery near Ulman on a later date.
