Ellis Dewayne Bailey, age 73, of Eugene, died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at St. Elizabeth Care Center. He was born in St. Anthony on June 20, 1934, a son of the late Alvis and Velma (Clark) Bailey.

Ellis was baptized at Brays Advent Christian Church.

Those who survive him include: two sons, Danny Bailey and wife Susan of Sedalia and Donny Bailey and wife Traci of Richland; one daughter, Tammy Joliene Jones and husband Raymond of Brumley; eight grandchildren, Jacob and Jeremiah Bailey, Lacy Collins, James, Cristin and Kinsey Bailey, Chelsey and Chad Burton; one great granddaughter, Bailey Elisabeth Collins and four sisters, Wilma Dean Helton, Velma Jean Nicholson, Mathiel Alexander and Annette Dake.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 6, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Jerry Hale will officiate. Interment will be in Jarrett Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
