Elmer Earl Winfrey, age 95, of Brumley, died Thursday, July 19, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Lebanon. He was born in Laclede County on November 29, 1911, son of Andrew J. and Nora (Parrick) Winfrey.
He worked as a farmer all of his adult life.
Survivors include one son, Evert E. Winfrey and wife, Cathy of Brumley; one daughter, Mary Perry of Lebanon; eight grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and four great great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Virgie Hendrickson; one daughter, Linda Weaks; two granddaughters; one great-grandson; two brothers; and one sister.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 22, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Brian Duncan will officiate. Interment will be in Union Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
