Elsie Jean Keeth, age 85, of Crocker, passed away on Friday, June 2, 2017, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born near Brumley on May 29, 1932, daughter of the late Atha and Julia (Phillips) Robinett. On May 31, 1958, near Crocker, Elsie married Orville Gene Keeth, who preceded her in death on November 14, 2011.
Elsie attended Warren Elementary School near Brumley and later finished high school and business school. She worked at several locations around the area as a housekeeper, factory worker and bookkeeper. Elsie also worked with her husband, Orville, operating their turkey and cattle farm.
Elsie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, fishing, and hunting. She was also a member of Farm Bureau, AARP and VFW Auxiliary. Elsie became a member of Rodden Church of Christ at an early age.
She is survived by one son, Michael Keeth and wife Diana of Iberia; one granddaughter, Christina Davis and husband Brad of Iberia; and six great-grandchildren; one brother, Urshel Robinett and wife Geneave of Vancouver, Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Sidney Robinett and three sisters, Laura Robinett, Alta Phillips, and Dorsie Robinett.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Monday, June 5, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ralph Byrd will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Union Cemetery near Brumley.
