Elston "Bud" Wythe Barton, age 77, of Meta, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Iberia on June 23, 1938, son of the late Elston and Zelda (Sowers) Barton.

Elston proudly served in the U.S. Air Force and Navy. He attended Campground Christian Church near Meta.

He is survived by one son, Wade Barton and wife Sheri of Arvada, Colorado; one daughter, Jackie Barton of Edgewater, Colorado, three grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, and Lauren Barton; and two sisters, Peggy Maples and husband Donald of Jefferson City and Daisy Seaton and husband Manuel of Iberia.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Royce Barton.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m., with services immediately following at 11 a.m., on Saturday, November 14, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Meta. Bro. Manuel Seaton will officiate. Interment will be in Dick Lawson Cemetery near Iberia.
