Elvera Mae Fancher Kloeppel, age 89, of Brinktown, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Monette on December 12, 1922, daughter of the late Emanuel and Lorena (Moody) Tornquist. On December 23, 1939, in Tuscumbia, Elvera married Thomas Byron Fancher, who preceded her in death on October 23, 1978. On May 18, 1983, Elvera married Frank Kloeppel, who survives her at the home.
She is also survived by three children, Donna Nielsen of Norman, Oklahoma, Spencer Fancher of Wichita, Kansas, and Shawn Fancher of Norman, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Tracy Naylor, Tara Nielsen, Rebecca Leonard, Amanda Thomas, Taleah Warren and Anthony Fancher; four great-grandchildren, Tanner Nielsen, Blake Naylor, Payton Naylor, and Logan Thomas; and one sister, Ada L. Black of Brumley.
She was also preceded in death by one child, Byrna Fancher, two sisters, Elizabeth "Betty" Burks and Ethel Tornquist, and two brothers Eric "Bud" Tornquist and Emanuel Tornquist Jr.
Service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2012, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate. Interment will be in Livingston Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 9, at the funeral home.
