Emmy McDonald, age 73, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was born in Iberia on March 11, 1938, daughter of the late Orville and Mary (Jones) Griffin. On January 21, 1958, in Colinth, Mississippi, Emmy married Kenneth Joe McDonald, who preceded her in death on January 6, 1991.

Emmy was a 1957 graduate of Iberia High School. After graduation she attended a cosmetology school in Lebanon and later owned and operated her own beauty shop for several years. She also worked at Ft. Leonard Wood as a Veterinarian Assistant.

She was a member of the Iberia Eastern Star and a past member of the Holly Guild and the Iberia Garden Club. Emmy was a member the First United Methodist Church in Iberia.

She is survived by one son, Steve McDonald of Lake Ozark; two grandchildren, Miranda and Seth McDonald both of Lake Ozark; one sister, Connie Hammack of Iberia; and several nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Ron Orr will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
