Esther Elizabeth Herzog, age 90, of Iberia, passed away on Monday, June 11, 2018, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born in Chesterfield, on May 3, 1928, daughter of the late Ralph and Mabel (Culp) Kemp. On September 11, 1954, in Creve Coeur, Esther married Eugene George Herzog, who preceded her in death on May 2, 1986.

Esther was a devoted member of Hickory Point Baptist Church near Iberia and spread her faith by teaching Sunday School at surrounding nursing homes.

She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Jarrett and husband Danny of Iberia; son, Brian Herzog and wife Regina of Iberia; seven grandchildren, Heidi Roark (Rodney), Kayla Piggott (Casey), Zachary Jarrett (Nancy), Stephen Herzog (Trysta), Stephanie Hagen (Dave), Christina Herzog, and Emily Herzog; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her infant son, Danny; brother, Ted Kemp; and three sisters, Margaret "Maggie" Rombach, Catherine "Katie" Vaughn, and Lois Hughes.

Service will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, June 17, at Hickory Point Baptist Church near Iberia with Pastor Dean Waters officiating. Interment will be in Hickory Point Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
