Esther Elizabeth (Ozias) Jarrett, age 76, of Iberia, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011, in Centerview, Missouri. She was born in Centerview on May 18, 1935, daughter of the late Arthur and Sally (Davis) Ozias. On May 28, 1966, in Warrensburg, Esther married John Calvin Jarrett who preceded her in death on August 2, 1991.

Esther attended Bethany Nazarene College in Bethany, Oklahoma and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education at Central Missouri State University in 1962. She worked as an Elementary Teacher for over 30 years in various schools including Independence, Tuscumbia, Crocker and Iberia. Esther was a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association and the Iberia Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by three sons, Dwight Jarrett of Longview, Texas, John Jarrett Jr. of Gulfport Mississippi, and Steve Jarrett of Iberia; one daughter, Carolyn Jarrett of Longview, Texas; one twin sister, Eleanor Egan of Centerview; one brother, Art Ozias and wife Debra of Centerview; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Hendley of Horn Lake, Mississippi; and 12 nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Iberia Church of the Nazarene. Rev. Greg McClain will officiate. Interment will be in Jarrett Cemetery near Iberia.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 15, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
