Eugene J. Keeth, age 91, of Iberia, died Tuesday, January, 3, 2006, at his home. He was born near Iberia on June 21, 1914, a son of Jule and Lucy (Roberts) Keeth. On August 26, 1935, in Waynesville, he was married to Ercie Faye Osborn, who preceded him in death on July 12, 1970. On August 28, 1974, in Center, Texas, he was married to Vera Mae Humphries Moore, who preceded him in death on September 10, 2003.
He was an active member of the Iberia First Christian Church. He was a Past Master of the Iberia Masonic Lodge #410 A.F. and A.M., Past Patron of the Iberia Chapter #537 Order of the Eastern Star, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine in Springfield. He was a member of the Carpenter's Local Union in Anchorage, Alaska, and in Jefferson City.
Survivors include: one daughter, Wilma Faye Keeth and husband Don of Iberia; two grandchildren, Kenneth E. Howk and wife Lynne of Rolla and Keeth E. Strange of Eldon; two great-grandchildren, Tony Howk of Iberia and Devin Strange of O'Fallon; one brother, G. R. Keeth of Iberia; and many nieces and nephews.
His parents; four brothers, Carl L. Keeth, Dale Lee Keeth, Darrell Don Keeth, and Dellno Keeth; and three sisters, Aldyth Keeth, Edith Law, and Ora Setser, also preceded him in death.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7, at the Iberia First Christian Church. Bro. Stan Way will officiate. Interment will be in Iberia Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the Church with a Masonic Service
at 7:00 p.m.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the Shriner's Crippled Children's Fund.
