Everett H. "Bud" Robinett, age 69, of Kansas City, Kansas, passed away on Thursday, November 27, 2014, at KU Medical Center. He was born in Ulman on February 22, 1945, son of the late Edgar and Lucille Robinett.
Until he was twelve, Bud lived in Yakima, Washington, then graduated from Jefferson City High School. Bud married the love of his life, Patsie Moss, in Missouri and they moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1966. He worked for Certain-Teed for 8 years, then Chem Lawn, and he retired after 22 years at Colgate Palmolive. He was very involved as a Union Steward for the Oil, Chemical and Atomic Workers Union.
Bud was a member of the Barkersville Christian Church. He also enjoyed football, racing, traveling and going to Bluegrass Festivals.
Bud is survived by his wife of 49 years, Patsie Robinett; his children, Lora A Miller (Gene), Lesa Hale (Steve), and Kenneth James Robinett (Sherry); his siblings, Delores Moss, Susan Klick, and Edward Robinett; his grandchildren, Ashlee N. Miller, Keeton Hale, Kevon Hale, Kailey Bender, and Dustin Miller; as well as many other friends and family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Lucille Robinett, and his brother, Edgar DeWayne Robinett.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 4, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Interment will be in Freedom Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., on Wednesday, December 3, at the funeral home.
