Everett Lee “Bud” Riemensnider, age 91, of Iberia, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at Osage Beach Rehabilitation in Osage Beach. He was born in Sleeper, Missouri, on August 4, 1934, son of the late George Ernest and Eva (Tullis) Thomson. On June 14, 1958, in Iberia, Bud was united in marriage to Helen Louise Rowden, who preceded him in death on July 1, 2016.
Bud proudly served in the United States Army until his honorable discharge on April 10, 1959. During this time, he demonstrated commitment and dedication to his country. Bud spent many years as a truck driver for various companies and then as an independent driver hauling a variety of loads throughout his career. Bud and Helen spent their first years of marriage in Fort Carson, Colorado before settling in Iberia.
He was a devout Christian and member of Fairview Christian Church in Iberia, where he remained active in the church community. He had an unconditional love for his family, especially his grandchildren. Bud was highly respected in the community for his honesty, hard work, and kindness.
He is survived by one son, Bill (Dee) Riemensnider of Iberia; three daughters, Amanda (Dan) Newhart of Eldon, Anne (Chip) Slawson of Iberia, and Valerie (Todd) Minnick of Iberia; six grandchildren, Justin (Crystal) Riemensnider, Luke (Holly) Riemensnider, Garth (Cassandra) Minnick, Isaac Minnick, Tyler (Brittany) Slawson, and Kaylie (Jacob) Supancic; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Helen Riemensnider; two brothers, Louis and Ralph Riemensnider; and three sisters, Mary Florine Riemensnider, Helen Spoon, and Sara Jane Mitchell.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a Celebration of Life immediately following at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, at Fairview Christian Church in Iberia with Randy Stohs officiating. A private inurnment will be held in Bethany Memorial Gardens near Crocker.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Bethany Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
