Fae Berry, age 92, of Eldon, died Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Eldon Nursing and Rehab. She was born in Union County, Illinois, on September 27, 1915, a daughter of the late Robert and Rosa (Barringer) Hankla. In 1949, in Dallas, Texas, she was married to Karl Berry, who preceded her in death.
Fae was a member of the Eastern Star and the Northridge Presbyterian Church in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed spending time reading and playing the piano.
Those who survive her include: One niece, Bobette Griffith of Eldon; one nephew, Kenneth Crowder of Casper, Wyoming and six great nieces and nephews.
One brother, Everett Hankla and two sisters, Ora Crowder and Ula Williams, also preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 3, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Rev. Roger Quillin will officiate.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
