Flavia Belle Moss, age 89, of Iberia, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at her home. She was born in Bloodland, Missouri, on December 1, 1921, daughter of the late Jacob and Inez (Shoebank) Amrine. On January 15, 1945, in Waynesville, Flavia married Willie Jennings Moss, who preceded her in death on November 9, 1987.
Flavia enjoyed quilting, sewing, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of Alder Springs Church of Christ, where she was baptized at a young age.
She is survived by six daughters, Peggy Pendleton of Iberia, Patsie Robinett and husband Everett of Kansas City, Kansas, JoAnn Shadow and husband Larry of Iberia, Mary Lane and husband Larry of Richland, Alice Beal and husband Robert of Dixon, and Clara Wieberg and husband Tom of Jefferson City; one son, Dallas Moss and wife Donna of Brumley; 22 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; four step great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and three step great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers, and one grandson, Troy Shadow.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 15, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Bro. Kevin Blackburn will officiate. Interment will be in Freedom Cemetery near Iberia.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m., on Monday, February 14, at the funeral home.
