Florence Marie Mullinax, age 86, of Iberia, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at her home.  She was born on October 7, 1938, daughter of the late Ralph and Florence (Finger) Edwards.  On January 11, 1970, in Colorado Springs, CO, Florence was united in marriage to Jackson "Jack" Mullinax, who survives at their home.

Florence was known for her vibrant love of life. She enjoyed riding horses and had a deep affection for all animals. Her passion for playing bingo brought her much joy and camaraderie with friends and family.

In addition to her loving husband, Jack Mullinax, she is also survived by two grandchildren, Kevin Mullinax of Nevada and Macknzie Mullinax of Oklahoma; two great-grandchildren, Kora Jean Mullinax and Collin Mullinax both of Nevada; sister, Flora Casale of New Jersey; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, David Mullinax and Michael Mullinax; parents; two sisters; and four brothers.

A Graveside Service will be held at 12 (noon) on Friday, April 11, at Bethany Cemetery near Iberia.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the Salvation Army to help with Hurricane Helene disaster in North Carolina and the wildfires in California.
