Flossie Edna Clark, age 97, of Tuscumbia, passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019, at Miller County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Tuscumbia. She was born in Tuscumbia on April 4, 1921, daughter of the late John and Alice (Humphrey) Birdsong. On November 7, 1936, in Tuscumbia, Flossie married Harry Adrian Clark, who preceded her in death on December 12, 1996.
Flossie worked at Langenberg Hat Factory in St. Elizabeth.
She was a talented quilter and made many quilts for her family and the community throughout her life. Flossie was a life-long member of Humphrey Creek Christian Church near Tuscumbia.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice Meinhold and husband Bill of St. Charles; one son, Tim Clark of Tuscumbia; son-in-law, Don Johnson of Columbia; five grandchildren, Paul, Stephen, Phillip, Beth, and Lauren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Clark, daughter-in-law, Mary (Blomberg) Clark, four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Saturday, January 5, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia with Bro. Russell Cobb officiating. Interment will be held in Capps Cemetery near Tuscumbia.
