Floyd Lee Jones, age 68, of Meta, passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2020, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born in Altus, Oklahoma, on August 19, 1951, son of Jess and Eva (Self) Jones.

Floyd never knew a stranger and loved socializing with people and getting together for family barbeques. Floyd was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church near Iberia.

He is survived by one stepdaughter, Dawn McCellan; cousins, Tonya Party, Twyla Holt, Tyler Stump, and Tommie Mengwester; aunt, Linda Stump (Richard); and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his wife, Wayva Black, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Kathleen and Frank Mckenzie; mother, Eva Strother and stepdad, Shorty Strother.

A private burial will be held in Southside Cemetery near Meta.
