Frank Albert Hatton, Jr., age 63, died at his home in Osage Beach, on June 29, 2017, after he lost his fight against cancer. He was born in East Prairie on November 3, 1953, son of the late Frank Albert Hatton Sr. and Iva Roslind (Morgan) Hatton.
Frank was born and raised in East Prairie, Missouri. After graduating from high school Frank teamed up with his dad and drove semi-trucks for Sam Tanksley Trucking. Frank became a father in August of 1979 to a baby girl, Amy. As fatherhood approached Frank went back to school to earn his way to becoming a Transportation Engineer and worked as a mechanic for Sam Tanksley in Oklahoma City, which ultimately lead to his 30 plus year career with Edwards Case Equipment until he retired this past year.
He is survived by his two sisters, Patricia Thompson of Iberia and Sharon "Twiggy" Nelson of the home; his honorary brother, Gary Edwards of Belleville, Illinois, along with his favorite nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and co-workers.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Layman and his beloved daughter, Amy Mitchell.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with services immediately following at 1 p.m., on Monday July 3, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Frank Hatton Memorial Fund.
