Frank Ray, age 75, of Iberia, died Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at Capital Region Medical Center. He was born near Dixon on March 19, 1933, son of Clarence and Emma (Robertson) Ray. On February 15, 1975, in Maries County, he was married to Patsy Nadine Thompson, who survives at the home.

He was a member of Mt. Gilead Church.

Other survivors include five sons, Shawn Ponder and wife Kim of Dixon, Shannon Ponder of Eldon, Tony Ponder and wife Rita, Tim Ponder and wife Pam, and Curt Ray and wife Charity all of Iberia; one daughter, Lawanna Ogdon and husband Brad of Cheyenne, Wyoming; four brothers, Ernest Ray and wife Virginia of Crocker, Raymond Ray and wife Verla of Iberia, Wayne Ray and wife Janet of Hancock, and Roland Ray and wife Becky of Dixon; 22 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Stella Roberts and Katherine Hance; and one brother, Donald Ray.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 6, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Larry Neal and Rev. Oscar Barrickman officiating. Interment will be in Seaton Cemetery near Dixon.
