Freda Jeanette Wright, age 84, of Iberia, died Thursday, September 11, 2008, at her home. She was born in Brumley, on March 4, 1924, daughter of James and Ada (Duncan) Plemmons. On September 21, 1946, in Brumley, she was married to Arthur William Wright, who preceded her in death on February 25, 1999.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was an avid Mizzou and Cardinal fan and was a member of Mt. Union Church of Christ near Brumley.
Survivors include one son, Jerry Wright and wife Sandy of Iberia; three grandsons, William Wright and wife Amy of High Point, Zachary Wright and fiancée Stephanie of Loose Creek, and Quentin Wright and wife Megan of St. Elizabeth; one great-granddaughter, Kamdyn Wright of High Point; two sisters, Katie Snelling of Richland, and Shirley Baker of Raytown; very special friend, Vivian Humphrey of Iberia; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and three sisters.
Visitation will be from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, at Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Ralph Byrd officating. Interment will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
